Hiroshi Hayakawa

Originally from Japan and currently based in the United States, Hiroshi Hayakawa is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans a wide range of media and techniques. His practice includes drawing, painting, kinetic sculpture, alternative photography, and paper-based works, forming a constantly evolving visual universe.
Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, establishing a strong presence within the contemporary art scene. His work is included in private and public collections, reflecting the recognition his artistic production has received over time.
Currently, his work is presented in galleries such as Sharon Weiss Gallery in Columbus, Ohio, and Arcadia Contemporary in New York City, institutions that continue to support and promote his practice.
In his recent body of work, Hayakawa focuses on the “Vanitas” series, a visual investigation that reflects on the transience of life and the fleeting nature of existence. Through this series, he explores new expressive possibilities within drawing and painting, expanding his artistic language through experimentation with materials, techniques, and composition.
His work is characterized by a poetic sensitivity and a continuous search for conceptual depth, where the ephemeral, the symbolic, and the visual converge to shape an ever-evolving artistic practice.
