On the Cover Benito García
For the cover of this new issue, we present Benito García, a Mexican architect and visual artist whose work explores the delicate boundaries between reality, memory, imagination, and visual poetry.
Born in Mexico City in 1999, García has developed a distinctive artistic language that combines the precision of his architectural background with a deeply intuitive and poetic approach to painting. His works are characterized by carefully constructed compositions, atmospheric environments, and a quiet sense of symbolism that encourages the viewer to look beyond the surface of the image.
Moving between realism and magical realism, García transforms familiar spaces and situations into contemplative worlds. Para la portada de este nuevo número presentamos a Benito García, arquitecto y artista visual mexicano cuya obra explora las delicadas fronteras entre la realidad, la memoria, la imaginación y la poesía visual.
Nacido en Ciudad de México en 1999, García ha desarrollado un lenguaje artístico propio que combina la precisión de su formación en arquitectura con un enfoque profundamente intuitivo y poético de la pintura. Sus obras se caracterizan por composiciones cuidadosamente construidas, atmósferas envolventes y un sutil sentido del simbolismo que invita al espectador a mirar más allá de la superficie de la imagen.
Moviéndose entre el realismo y el realismo mágico, García transforma espacios y situaciones cotidianas en mundos contemplativos. La arquitectura, el paisaje, la luz, el color y la presencia humana se convierten en algo más que elementos visuales; crean espacios cargados de emoción, memoria y posibilidades. Sus pinturas parecen a menudo momentos suspendidos en el tiempo: escenas reconocibles que, al mismo tiempo, sugieren la existencia de algo oculto bajo su apariencia.
