The Guide Artists Magazine Presents Issue 108
On the Cover Arthur Gain
In this other Special, we are proud to present on our cover one of the most talented artists we have had the opportunity to discover: Arthur Gain.
Based in Barcelona, Spain, Arthur is a self-taught oil painter whose diverse artistic journey has led him to develop a distinctive approach to representational painting. His work is characterized by a strong focus on observation, light, atmosphere, and the expressive possibilities of traditional oil painting.
Before dedicating himself fully to painting, Arthur pursued a successful career in commercial illustration and graphic design, later becoming a creative director in the advertising industry. However, during his time in Asia, his exploration of traditional Yoga and Buddhist meditation encouraged a deeper connection with his creative instincts and ultimately led him to discover his passion for representational art.
Arthur’s artistic practice is rooted in the dialogue between technique and perception. Through oil painting, he explores the subtle relationships between light, color, form, and emotion, creating works that combine a strong sense of realism with a deeply personal sensitivity.
His approach reflects both his background in visual communication and his dedication to the traditional language of painting. Rather than simply reproducing what he sees, Arthur seeks to capture the atmosphere and character within each subject, allowing technical precision and artistic interpretation to coexist.
With Arthur Gain on our cover, we celebrate an artist whose work demonstrates how observation, sensitivity, and a profound understanding of visual language can come together to create a powerful and contemporary expression of representational art.

The Guide Artists Magazine presenta su número 108
