BENITO GARCÍA
TODAY ´S HIGHLIGHT
BENITO GARCÍA
Born in Mexico City in 1999, Benito García is an architect and visual artist whose work combines technical precision, poetic sensitivity, and symbolic depth. His artistic language, rooted in realism and magical realism, reveals a strong interest in atmosphere, memory, and the emotional resonance of images.
From an early self-taught practice, García has developed a body of work that moves beyond representation, exploring the subtle dialogue between reality, imagination, and inner experience.
His background in architecture also informs his approach to composition, structure, and space, giving his paintings a distinctive sense of balance and visual clarity.
His work often reflects a contemplative relationship with the world, where the visible becomes a threshold toward more intimate and psychological narratives. Through carefully constructed compositions, García creates images that invite the viewer to pause, observe, and enter a space where reality is transformed by silence, symbolism, and imagination.
His work has been presented in group exhibitions, institutional projects, and cultural events in Mexico. In 2022, he presented his first solo exhibition, I Hate the Cold, But I Love the Blue, at the Museo de la Ciudad in Querétaro, marking an important moment in his emerging artistic career. Today, his practice continues to evolve through a constant exploration of painting as a space of thought, emotion, and visual poetry.
